You can join us in Africa and make a real difference in the lives of the communities there. Village Care teams are open to anyone with a heart for the people of Africa. Because we serve a very diverse population, we welcome diversity on our teams. There are no special qualifications - anyone 16 years of age or older who is physically capable of handling the rough roads and difficulties of rural travel can join.

Since the founding of VCI, we have held to a simple philosophy: there are simple things that everyone can do to improve their lives. At the most basic level, it starts with interaction and discussion. It takes an actively engaged community to confront poverty.

Communities in Nigeria and East Africa are mobilizing to care for their most vulnerable members.  We are currently filling US volunteer teams to Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania for summer 2010.
